The Lake

My final clip came on the walk back when I wasn't even planning on recording anything. While walking near the lake I realized what a great sound the waves made as they crashed along the shore. I stopped for a moment and recorded just off the sidewalk. In this clip, you can hear a runner and biker passing by.

Love this, Gus. And makes me recommend again a movie I told you I loved but I don't know if you've seen -- Cafe Lumiere by Hsiao-hsien Hou. One of the characters is also a sound recorder.

And isn't your coin toss method of navigation also in some movie? Smoke? Or in some book? Have you read any Paul Auster?

Murakami gave a reading and talk in Berkeley Saturday night (packed auditorium on campus). Wish you were there.
